@crwiley1962 Compromise has always ran on the track of respectability: look at the “mainline” denominations. The “mainline” was literally the upper class area of town along the railroad where “elite” citizens lived. Didn’t Jesus say something about camels and the eye of a needle?

@firstthingsmag I share Trueman’s concern. Francis is not “one bad pope” among others, this is an abandonment of the faith. Those of us in the Protestant world are quite familiar with it.
