Reasons Drogba doesn’t have the numbers just like many other elite attackers.

1. Frank Lampard: He shared the goal scoring duty with Lampard with Lampard also taking the penalties.

2. Drogba spent his prime playing more defensive minded football. The first season he played for an attacking coach, he scored 29 league goals all from open play except one.

3. Didier Drogba didn’t statpad enough. He mostly prioritized big games and finals.

4. Not enough tap ins. He didn’t sleep in the 18 yard box. Most of his goals are breathtaking.
