@daveainsworth63 I was camping in Yorkshire in the 80s Dave, and Last Of The Summer Wine showed up to do an episode, great entertainment.❤️ we had a great chat to all folks there
@VinnieSull1van And candles, we have an open fire, candles, and also paraffin lamps, it's like a furnace in here, the central heating doesn't come on, try staying awake with this lot😊
@VinnieSull1van@Britains___Pubs@BygoneBritain@Lost___London One of the places I worked for decades, and I knew so many people, but as a child I remember the old hospitals with massive outdoor space for people to recover from illness, I expect they are long gone now. I also cleaned up many mansions, some on the Heath , almost derelict.
@VinnieSull1van Very true, the two best things I ever learnt, was how to gut ,clean and prepare animals for dinner, and how to do the same with fish, all taught by local Irish country people. And I was only about 6 at the time, they considered me old enough, good days.
@VinnieSull1van Yes, we see it every day Vinnie, thankfully, we are independent, all that hard work paid off thankfully. But I feel sorry for other people that obey to survive 🥲
