I wrote an HTTP/2 server in C++ and use it to use my personal site. I've written some words describing goals, development process, security and hosting considerations -https://t.co/VWsKboMTwI
Writing a HTTP/2 server in C++ for the lols. TLS handshake working, but "perhaps" there is more work to be done (yes there is curl, thanks) https://t.co/SwdG62dHUb
Been having fun building improvements to the Mega Drive MIDI Interface recently. Dropped a new release a few days ago to support loading/storing user-defined FM presets! Check out the latest releases if this sort of thing floats your boat https://t.co/2yTCu913QI
7digital is starting off the new year hiring into our Engineering team! Developers (Node.js) please get in touch if this sounds like the role for you! #hiring#developer#nodejs https://t.co/oouMVQ1Q3i
Calling all Product leaders! We're hiring for a Product Lead to join our team. This remote role (within UK) will focus on the continuous discovery, design, evolution and execution of 7digitalโs B2B music API PaaS. https://t.co/MuBBBkouyB #tech#music#hiring#b2b#producthiring
@_2xAA@xxcatskullxx Great stuff! As you say, serial is somewhat slow. But GenMDM did use some parallel controller port technique (4-bits at a time or something?) Curious to know if it would be possible to get faster connectivity that way. Obviously would require software to support that mode too...
@_2xAA Glad you're having fun with it! ๐ Good point about the inverted TL values breaking GenMDM compatibility... I'll see what I can do! Also, if there's another feature you'd like implemented, feel free to request!
I am excited to announce that, thanks to the amazing work of @Rubberduckcooly , we have Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2 running NATIVELY and PIXEL PERFECT on PS Vita with a quick port I made based on his code! Please give him a follow as without him this would not be true.
After a bitter slog with RFC 6295, I now have MIDI events sent from Ableton Live over Apple MIDI Network, to a Mega Drive ROM, running on BlastEm, emulating MegaWiFi. Phew. ๐ #megadrive#midi#abletonlive#blastem#megawifi https://t.co/ecbRuxCGtZ
Why is RTP-MIDI so complex? Why bother allowing status octets to be optional for subsequent MIDI events in the packet? Isn't the 80s-era MIDI protocol bandwidth efficient enough?! https://t.co/JkOcE67QYd ๐ #midi
Wow! Turns out Wireshark fully interprets RTP-MIDI packets and fully describes the underlying MIDI events. That's going to be pretty useful for debugging/monitoring...
And now UDP! Unfortunately #megawifi UDP support is only available in #blastem nightly builds & only available for Windows (and I coudn't build the macOS code locally). Anyway, it works fine in Wine. Next step - try and establish an Apple Network MIDI session! ๐ #megadrive#midi
Just finished adding support for @krikzz's Mega EverDrive PRO to the Mega Drive MIDI Interface https://t.co/E5gAW13ddm My naive implementation shows the PRO USB data transfer is at least 4x quicker than the X7 - not that the X7 was slow - both more than good enough for MIDI!
