@ottertitties That may be the one of the sickest burns I've ever heard. And the kind of person that fits that burn is not nearly self-aware enough to register it as a burn. A burn so good they don't even know they're on fire ๐ฅ
In their seminal boss rock jam "Half LIfe", the eternally underrated grunge rock band Local H once opined "Work is for suckers, and the sucker is you". That frank modern adage will never ring truer than on Monday morning.
@lexvranick A5. I know I've been hyping up the instrumental mood rock this whole time, but I'd never be more assured that a feature would encompass the tone of my writing more than getting Daft Punk back together to write and curate the music #WriteAndWine
@lexvranick A4. My last novel, Diary of a Drunken Saint, wasn't "based" but it was very heavily influenced by the epic Local H album "12 Angry Months". The album chronicled the range of emotions a man went through over the course of the entire year after a particularly bad break up
@lexvranick A3. I do write music--in fact, Im racing toward the unveiling a Big Music Project โข๏ธ. But I'm more versed in writing the actual music. Lyrics are pretty difficult for me...but I have worked with other people's poetry and fixed it to music Ive written #WriteAndWine
@lexvranick A2. Instrumental mood rock is my go-to, so my writing list is full of El Ten Eleven, Maybeshewill, Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, 65daysofstatic, and Ramin Djawadi just to name a few. #WriteAndWine
@lexvranick A1. It's not necessary but it does help. Mostly it's instrumental mood music like El Ten Eleven or a video game soundtrack. Any music goes for any project, though death metal does tend to help when writing horror ๐ป ๐ค
#WriteAndWine
@lexvranick Better late than never, am I right, #WriteAndWine? Kids are put to bed, and I popped open a bottle of blueberry wine ๐ซ
Posing this question is just cruel to me as I am music connoisseur. However difficult I do have answer: "Higher Ground", both the Stevie Wonder and RHCP cuts
@deadlynitshade Sad thing is his dude will be out a friend in no time, and he'll just make an ambiguous tweet about "just keeping it real and if you can't handle that..." ๐
@lexvranick And then they cut to them looking at the camera and saying "Eh, he may have a hundred restaurants and is a super successful chef and businessman... But he has no idea what he's talking about ๐๐๐"

@SkepticalMJ Demetri Martin had a joke where he said "I love sports, because I like to be irrationally angry about outcomes beyond my control". I think around that time I thought the same thing. And being a Yankee fan, I realized you can't call every year they don't win a failure.
