Getting back to the topic at hand: I don't accept your premise that it would be "retribution" for Sand to exercise the powers Republican lawmakers (unwisely) gave to Kim Reynolds.

CIS statistics are highly disputed by other immigration groups, and John Tanton and his wife were big allies of Steve King when he was pushing English-only legislation in Iowa back in the day. More evidence here of Lahn's ties to white nationalist ideology, in any event.
