This combined with the other post about homeschool moms becoming teachers is spot on. Unfortunately, I've known several moms who are now empty nesters who even though college educated, can't get more than a meanial job. The value is lost. Homeschool moms often multi-task educating multiple kids on different grade levels, we manage the home, we organize, plan, educate ourselves and budgeting? No one can pinch a penny better than a homeschool mom. We organize Co ops, play groups, church groups and community events. We also know what we don't know. You don't want me teaching latin beyond 2nd form or math beyond algebra so, we outsource. However, since this isn't recognized as a career. It's lost on the managerial class.
