When you hear "Police Say" in a news report, be aware the reporter means they have no idea if what comes next is true or not. I worked with survivors of a deadly attack on antifascists in Portland and @ForensicArchi to show how the police misled the public https://t.co/2sBbcAz1cA
.@SenThomTillis: "Did you actually tell Pulte you were going to punch him in the face?
Secretary Bessent: "No sir, I told him I was going to kick his ass."121712
JUST IN: Kilmar Abrego Garcia has alerted Judge Xinis to Secretary Mullin's testimony yesterday in which he seemed to agree to deport Abrego to Costa Rica.
That's where Abrego is asking to go, despite admin attempts to send him to Africa. https://t.co/dh8XvbecSM
Likely that the many ballots left in #CA06 are blue enough to prevent a Dem lockout. But it's a good study in how it's a weak party with strong factions, not a mighty "DNC" that rules from above.
Look at all the endorsements for a Dem who flopped w 10%!

After reviewing county-level data this morning, VoteHub upped our estimate to about 8.95 million total votes in the California governor’s race.
More outstanding vote is generally helpful for Steyer’s path against Hilton, but he still has significant ground to make up.
ICYMI: Mullin's testimony is already having some trickle down -- during an exchange with Sen. Van Hollen, he said DHS would be "happy" to send him to Costa Rica. Abrego Garcia's lawyers immediately filed that exchange in fed court.
The thing that throws this all into question is turnout. How many ballots are really left out there? The more ballots there are, the better for Steyer and the greater the possibility of both Dems passing Hilton. Because the only thing I’m sure of is that what’s left is super Dem.
My guess is it’ll end up 62/38 and Hilton will continue to win ~70% of the GOP vote.
That would put Hilton’s final # at ~26.5% and Other GOP ~11.5%. Let’s give Other Democrats a combined 10%.
So #math says there’s 52% left for XB/TS to split and no way for a D top 2.
WARREN: Trump purchased up to $1m of Nvidia stock. A week later, he changed US policy and loosened the rules on export controls so Nvidia could sell its chips to China. Now the stock is through the roof. Should the SEC be knocking on his door?
BESSENT: Get your house in order, senator. Lead by example
"Should have never been president. He lost the election in a landslide," President Trump lies about Joe Biden in a new interview conducted 5.5 years after Biden won the 2020 election 306-232 in the Electoral College and received 7 million more votes than Trump.
It would be disastrous for Dems to get locked out of a seat they redrew to be a safe pickup, #CA06. There’s still good reason believe Pan (D) will ultimately edge out Stansfield (R) for the second slot, but it’s the difference between a sure D pickup and an assured R hold.
Shaping up to be a clean sweep for Bernie’s endorsements last night. Five for five:
Sam Forstag (MT)
Randy Villegas (CA)
Adam Hamawy (NJ)
Analilia Mejia (NJ)
Jane Kim (CA insurance commissioner)
This is particularly true because the blue shift is going to be more pronounced this year than any other. Matters for races across the state (Mai Vang in CA07, the current Dem lockout in CA06, Villegas holding his lead in CA22). Lots of counting left to go here.
The Biden team admired Trump's maximum pressure, and disowned JCPOA to follow the same path when it first came to office. Now by embracing Trump's language that the war started in 1979, that we are just at the end point of a pre-determined history with no exit ramps along the way, it is showing that it has no policy vision of its own, no foreign policy history that it wants to defend, and in fact is hoping to avoid a reckoning with its own record with Iran.
In reality history is not a straight jacket, we have not been at war since 1979, and there were many exit ramps that both sides (including the Biden administration) could have taken that could have resulted in a different outcome. I wrote about this here: https://t.co/DlJUdsK93I
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has told Congress that an Israeli plan to occupy 70 percent of Gaza is not part of the Trump administration's proposal for ending the war.
"We have a plan. It doesn't call for that," Rubio said, "He made that statement, but that's not part of this plan."
Because of your voice on Delaney Hall, the Trump admin just released 18 yr old high school senior whose story I told. They released the pregnant women held inside. These releases show ICE isn’t targeting the violent criminals. ICE is feeling the pressure. Keep raising your voice.
