@RM_Transit Even the real platform doors we will get will most likely be the chest high style because anything more will require massive ventilation changes within the tunnels and stations
@PeterChapmanEsq My limited understanding is that around the time after the release of DeckAndDrums, one of the members got really sick during touring, and they had to cancel the tour. Things just kinda fell apart after that as he determined he didn't want to continue with the project.
@porterairlines Should we expect to see these operating out of the Island in the future? Jet-like range and speed while getting around the jet ban at Billy Bishop. https://t.co/srXYmE8d1D
@TransportAction I believe VIA should buy this track (previously owned by GEXR and now CN) upgrade it to class 6, electrify it and use it as part of their High Frequency Rail network.
@Ian_Mosby @JohnTory@DenzilMW So as much as I hate to defend John Tory or the city, this is Metrolinx/the province's fault. This new trail extension requires a tunnel and a bridge over the GO train tracks, which Metrolinx must build themselves. The city isn't allowed. Everything else is mostly ready and done
@TechConnectify look at what I spotted while shopping. They are claiming the pods have prewash and rinse aid. Directions say to just toss into the dishwasher and not use the wash trays, and the pod will not fully dissolve in the prewash, leaving some for the wash cycle.
@publicspacework @GOExpansion@SaveJimmie FYI many parts of the Metrolinx network will continue to operate diesel decades after electrification is totally complete. Full Electrification only covers about 60% of the network as some lines share with freight companies who refuse electrification, and low ridership.
