@ugbahisioma We have RN devs building things in DN after just one day. Make use of your LLM: tell it to read our docs folder, Playground app, and Starter app. Then tell it to code. 😎
📢🔥 Flutter and DartNative plugins:
Let me answer Emil and, at the same time, share a few more words about this topic:
1. All the Flutter plugins we use at Presence on Flutter projects (yes, we love and still use Flutter where it is a fit) are heavily modified forks. We barely ever found a Flutter plugin that was both production-ready and well-maintained. So honestly, we don’t think Flutter devs will miss 1,000 buggy or poorly maintained plugins.
2. We find typical Flutter apps use WAY more plugins than they actually need, which means is a bad practice in general and a liability.
3. With DN, we set things up so you can easily port any missing plugin, with an LLM doing the port automatically. At least for non-complex plugins, which represent ~95% of plugins (the other 5% is on us and on the top highly-skilled contributors).

If you intend to maintain the plugin, share it with the community:

4. Some plugins you need in Flutter aren’t needed in DN at all. 😊 So before saying you miss a plugin for something, check if maybe you don't even need it in DN.
5. DN plugins and Flutter plugins aren’t truly equivalent. For obvious reasons, you’ll often find DN plugins to be more performant and powerful. For example, video_player, Lottie, camera, media_picker, crypto, etc. can go beyond their Flutter counterparts.
6. All pure-Dart plugins from https://t.co/y9NecEaAgg are compatible with DN and work as-is. You can read the docs and check out our examples.

7. DN devs can port not only Flutter plugins, but also native and React Native plugins. For example, react-native-mmkv, a very popular key-value storage library in the RN community, is currently being ported by a community member who says the DN version is significantly faster than the original RN plugin.

The original plugin is already fast but DN architecture unlocks additional performance.
Hi Amein 🤍 Happy to hear you guys are loving DartNative!
Yes, https://t.co/40UVCpbhWA is going to get a few new features. Please let us know what you need. These are the filters we currently have.👇
As for first-party vs. community plugins, we intentionally didn’t add that filter because we don’t want to risk giving first-party plugins an advantage over community ones.
But if the community thinks such a filter would be useful, we can definitely reconsider it.
Thanks @KhalidWarsa for sharing this. The other side of the coin is this:

That’s why, at DartNative, we’re on a mission to turn developers into software houses. We want to enable indie devs to ship apps that once required native development, significant capital and highly skilled teams.
We enable them to automate the hard parts while keeping the creativity, vision, and decisions firmly in their hands.
If I were in my 20s, I would have built 3 DartNative plugins and 1 app, and praised the Lord for the blessing. 🙏
Fortunately, guys like that still exist, and they’ll reap the harvest. But it’s obvious we have a generational issue.
I believe social media, web development, and tech gurus have all contributed to this disaster.
@antirez, it shouldn’t be our generation building Dwarfstar and DartNative. 🤍
🚨😱 ANDROID DEVS, let’s talk performance! 💨
🎵 MUSIC ON 🎵
DartNative is built for native-level performance, even on older, low-end Android devices.
Below you can see several heavy Telegram stickers being rendered in milliseconds.
That would already be impressive on a flagship Android phone. But this is happening on a 5-year-old Xiaomi Mi Lite 5G ($200), on a physical device, IN DEBUG MODE. 🙌🔥🚀
Happy DartNative coding! ⚡️
😱 BLAZING FAST - IN ITS OWN LEAGUE 🏎️💨
This showcase heavy Telegram Lottie sticker sets rendering in milliseconds. 🏎️🏎️🏎️💨💨💨
Check out the update:

React Native and Flutter developers have long struggled with Lottie performance. That’s no longer an issue for demanding chat apps.
Run it on your phone. 📱🤖
Happy DartNative coding! ⚡️
Thank you, Salim! ❤️
The funny part is that localization in DN is actually very easy. This is simply our fault: it seems we omitted a tutorial with demo code for it. 😅

So your LLM doesn’t have a clear reference to follow.
@DartNativeX please add a tutorial and the appropriate Skill. Showcase a screen with translations in English, Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, and German. 🌍🔥
No offense to the rest of world. This is just a demo! 🙏😊
I ❤️ Temi. He’s building things that are super cool. Check this out! 😳
DartNative is a beast! 🔥 It seems like there’s almost no ceiling to what it can do. 🚀🔥🔥🔥
@olu_tayormi, are you using our Supertonic plugin for local TTS? We believe it’s SOTA. 🥇 We use it in Gee AI too.
🚨 DartNative new release is out! 🚀
And we have "Something For You" 👩❤️💋👨
Music ON 🎵
Enjoy our new Lottie plugin with rlottie support for the fastest Telegram-like performance 🏎️🏎️🏎️💨💨💨
The stickers keyboard is now available in our Playground app:

Happy Dart coding! ⚡️
🚨 FLUTTER DEVS: DON’T GET SCREWED. ADAPT ON TIME! ❤️
I find it naive when a Flutter dev questions DartNative. They remind me of those who were questioning AI just 9 months ago and are now buying double-Max accounts to feel safer. 🤷♂️😊
Let me make this clear: whatever you believe, and no matter how invested you are in your current tech stack, you’ll eventually have to face reality.
And there are two events in particular:
1️⃣ React Native devs building an app better than yours
2️⃣ DartNative devs building an app better than yours
The funny part?
DN >> RN, and we’re part of the same community. 😎🔥
