At the #HLPF2026, Italy highlighted its forward-looking strategy for #SDG achievement, focused on multi-level governance, local action, and intergenerational change.

Undersecretary @ClaudioBarbaro underlined how Italy's VNR is designed to strengthen policy integration and shared responsibility, reflecting Italy’s future-oriented approach. It includes a platform for continuous dialogue and coordination between the National and Territorial Sustainable Development Forums, placing youth engagement at the centre of these efforts.

Key initiatives include:
Advancing the "Partnership Platform for Localizing the SDGs" co-launched with @UNHABITAT to empower local territories globally;
✅Deepening policy coherence to simplify and increase the effectiveness of public policies;
✅Structuring permanent, stable listening spaces dedicated to all stakeholders and youth;
✅Facilitating actor networking, capacity building, and collaborative engagement;
✅ Driving the post-2030 agenda by focusing on integrated governance as a structural enabler for change.

By integrating national, local, and youth pathways, Italy aligns global goals with localized public policies, services, and investments.

📝Firmamos una Declaración de Intención con la Oficina de Coordinación de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo en América Latina y el Caribe para fortalecer la cooperación en apoyo a las prioridades de desarrollo de los países miembros y la Agenda 2030.

La iniciativa establece un marco de trabajo conjunto para identificar y fortalecer proyectos, promover mecanismos de financiamiento innovador, impulsar iniciativas territoriales y ampliar el intercambio de conocimiento en temas estratégicos para la región.

🔵Agua y saneamiento, resiliencia, tecnología e innovación se encuentran entre las primeras áreas identificadas para avanzar en acciones concretas. También se mencionaron territorios e iniciativas de interés común, como el Gran Chaco Americano y el Corredor Bioceánico, por su relevancia para la integración, el desarrollo territorial y la generación de oportunidades sostenibles.

La Presidente Ejecutiva de FONPLATA, @BotafogoLuciana, y el Coordinador Regional para América Latina y el Caribe de la Oficina de Coordinación del Desarrollo de las Naciones Unidas, @RobertoValentUN, se reunieron de forma virtual para celebrar la firma y avanzar en los primeros pasos de implementación.
