@mikemovies The first time seeing both....Shawshank. But by the tenth viewing of each, Pulp Fiction. I found the non-linear structure off-putting at first, but I've grown to appreciate it. Shawshank is great, but it isn't that deep.

Unlike other movies of his, he doesn't overwhelm the movie, while still carrying it.

@FinalDude78 A Kiss Before Dying - the remake, with Sean Young and Matt Dillon. Sean's character dies about 2/3rds in...I was relieved that was finally over...then she emerged as a long-lost twin, to groans from the 4 of us who stuck through it.
Just appallingly bad all around.

@mikemovies Great soundtrack. Innovative directing. Good acting...some great (Brown), and nobody really bad. It felt very similar to the first Terminator movie to me.

The story itself was probably the weak point.
