Downtown Bartlett, Texas, played the role of 1923 Amarillo, Texas. in the TV series "1923," which is one of the shows in Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone universe. The show ran for two seasons and this scene was filmed for episode five in season two. Chad Mees, the mayor of Bartlett, kindly sent this photo to me and said there were 800 cattle in the streets when they filmed in August, 2024. The show starred Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford and ran for two seasons. Because of its beautiful downtown and brick-lined streets, Bartlett has been the site of quite a few movie and TV productions.
How great is this?
Thank you, Chad!
I mentioned yesterday that they filmed an episode of 1923 ---- the Taylor Sheridan series that stars Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford ---- in Bartlett, Texas, in August, 2024. In the episode, Bartlett poses as Amarillo back in 1923. With its red-bricked streets, Bartlett already looks like a movie set, so the transformation wasn't hard. Bartlett Mayor Chad Mees kindly shared this gorgeous photo of cars from the production as they were parked in the street at sunset. How pretty is this? Can't you tell that's a hot August Texas sunset? I'm sweating just looking at it.
Thank you, Mayor Mees. Super duper!
