@Punished_HIMBY@perrymetzger@deetvleet Why wouldn't any of these new jobs help to solve those problems? The whole point is to make things so cheap, and people so rich, that there is capacity to do it easily.
@Punished_HIMBY@perrymetzger@deetvleet Would you have said that as a hunter gatherer who couldn't imagine agriculture? Car mechanics and software engineers weren't imagined at one point. I suppose if you really can't imagine having more than you do...good for you?
@mcfarland72409@perrymetzger Not my experience. There's code I don't care about and don't read, but when I do read it's mostly decent. And when it isn't how I'd do it I just spell out the design in more detail. I did get some bad Pyspark queries once but I explained the problem and it fixed them.
@nealasher I try to judge the art separately and not care about authors' worldviews, but there's always a concern that the rules of their imaginary worlds will conform to them: to that extent I understand OP. But I love Musk's optimistic vision of the future so sounds good to me!
@THORPEPARK please bring back some kind of ale to Camden Junction. Surely you've just disappointed a whole demographic of dads by restricting your range to fizzy lager!
@BBCGuernsey "accidentally threw away 23 AA batteries – which were inside children's toys...consequences of a battery fire"
Alkaline AA batteries in toys do not catch fire. The risk comes from lithium ion batteries. The fine should never have been applied and the mother should be refunded.
Update: item was out of stock (presumably due to a mis-count) so "available now" was either a bug or some operator error which will be reported to the relevant department.
So I went to the @BandQ to collect my item but they said they don't have it. And furthermore they're not expecting it and will refund me. What's going on there?
