City have been good going forward, but they are flat out bad defensively. City struggling and scraping wins at home against Coventry and Sunderland sort of highlights this.

The rebuild was necessary, but it comes with a short-term cost, especially with an unproven manager. Their overall performance has been extremely inconsistent, there is not a game they could not have lost.

That felt much more a point earned than two points dropped bc could’ve easily lost & it wouldn’t have felt undeserved. There was a 7-8 minute period after Noni’s goal where it really could’ve tilted as Brentford went for the equalizer and opened up but Gunners couldn’t capitalize. After the equalizer, it was all Brentford - just winning every duel and 2nd ball. Gyokeres was excellent. The Nelli chance could’ve stolen the match, you gotta take that first time and just hit it across the face bc the keeper’s momentum is taking him towards you. Badly missed Merino & esp Kai but is what it is.

@DarrenArsenal1 Think the point about Wirtz still stands though. The only difference is Wirtz came into a much better and winning team, meaning his lack of contribution became a lesser talking point. Now they are struggling, the ”meaningless” goals and assists might have swung it for Liverpool.
