I’m doing 130 push ups today for the 1 in 3 people turning to AI for mental health or wellness support. (My tip: don’t believe everything ai says) Note: the first $100,000 donations today will be matched by NSR. @pushforbetter

After week 1, I am feeling stronger, looking forward to today’s push ups. 140 of them because regular movement is associated with a 14% decrease in distress. @pushforbetter
Week 1 down, three to go! I’m doing 3,307 push-ups this month as part of The Push-Up Challenge for better mental health in Australia. This represents the 3,307 people who died by suicide in 2024. You can help by donating at https://t.co/ptCtbhnFQn @PushForBetter

Today I’m doing 150 push ups, for the 1.5 million Aussies living with mood conditions including depression. Actually I would think the real number is higher than that. @pushforbetter
Colin and Rowena play a game where a quizmaster asks Colin to fill in one COLUMN of a 3×3 grid with three 1s or -1s whose product is -1, then asks Rowena to do the same for one ROW with three numbers whose product is 1.
If they agree for the square in common, they win one point.

Today I’m doing 120 push ups, representing the minutes of REM sleep each night. Feel like I could do with a few more tonight. But the push ups are getting easier. @pushforbetter

I’m in training for the push up challenge starting 3rd June. Currently, I can do 35 in a row. From experience I know that by the end of the challenge I’ll double that. I’ll need to. The biggest day will be 229 push ups. All for a great cause.
My story “Death and the Gorgon” was voted best novella of 2024 by the readers of Asimov’s SF. You can read it online at the link below.
I also have a new novella in the Nov 2025 issue of Asimov’s, “Spare Parts for the Mind”, and they have an excerpt from that on their web site.
@gregeganSF I thought it was just meant to be an absurd joke. The tone, especially the humour, is all over the place but I still find the main plot intriguing. Could have done without the OTT incompetent agent.
@flawedaxioms greg egan has written fiction taking place in a universe with 4 spatial dimensions and 0 time dimensions and a universe with 2 spatial dimensions and 2 time dimensions
