@AngelaRayner When my disabled mum moved into a housing association property they showed it us with no floor and walls scraped back to a green-brown mess of plaster and old paint. Did they give her a floor and paint/wallpaper? No. She had to use all her savings to get a FLOOR in social housing

Truth is it's probably going to cost Rishi about that much. It will cost me very little. But there are poor families it will harm, still.

@ajneil74 @BBCLauraKT I guess the problem is actually for people who earn less than half of that. E.g. the teaching assistants who earn just above the allowance. Asking such people to pay an extra £100 a year in NI is taking away a budget which I suspect is generally spent on kid's shoes and coats.
