What we're all witnessing here unfold in front of us is a historical event. A point of inflexion in India's trajectory.

Outside of wars, Pakistan has waged a relentless war of Islamic terrorism on India. While Kashmir was its biggest playground, the rest of India was hit repeatedly with terrorist attacks.

1000s of Indians while simply going about their daily life brutally murdered by Islamist thugs trained and sponsored by Pakistan.

It has done this for so many years with impunity because its decision makers knew that no harm will come to them.

Any action will be below a certain threshold and restricted to the 'disputed' Kashmir theatre, and even losing a few 100 soldiers there did not matter when looking at the larger picture.

But India would continue to be bled through a strategy of thousand cuts.

All that changed yesterday. Decades of inaction or less than required retaliation has now given way for an all out retribution. Pakistanis in Pakistan proper are now feeling the heat and its decision makers are coming to the reality of Indian vengeance visiting them in their homes.

India has finally stood up for itself and looking to dictate the terms. India is willing to go the whole hog - but I can Pakistan afford a war? Or let me put it better, can it afford a sustained war, outside of onetime engagements?

Today, all of the so called red lines of Pakistan have been smashed and instead, India is putting forth it's redline - don't mess with me.

Because punishment will be swift, sustained and brutal.
