@ACTBrigitte Do you understand that the only people who have any say in the future of Greenland is the people of Greenland? That’s how sovereignty works, sorry to break it to you.
You want to go off and sulk because Trump can’t get a new toy, go for it.
@ravener96@OberWaffen@9mmsmg @goldware326 I wish they’d just accept the obvious truth. Trump wants Greenland so he can ‘drill baby drill’ and hoard all the resources. Yes, there are other concerns, but they are answered by the alliance we’re all part of.
It’s a land/resource grab. No other argument makes sense.
@OberWaffen@9mmsmg@ravener96 @goldware326 They’re not. Also, I’m not sure you get how this question/answer thing works. I’m answering your questions and you’re not answering mine. I can only assume you had no answer and therefore accept that you’re wrong.
@atrupar Yeah, we used to do that too. You have to be a bit careful though, because eventually, the lands you take over get a bit greedy and decide to rebel so they don’t have to pay taxes anymore.
@Alexandr4Denman You lost all credibility when… well, when you started speaking. When you said the worst prime minister though… I presume you’re not aware of the 🥬 ?
@scrowder So 3 sovereign nations pay less than you’d like for NATO which means another sovereign nation (Greenland) have to surrender to your expansionist demands? You can probably do it, but when you do, don’t pretend you’re the ‘leaders of the free world’. You’re no better than Russia.
@9mmsmg@ravener96 @goldware326 NATO can defend Greenland, I think this is pretty much all about resources. Happy
To be proved otherwise, but at the moment I’ve not seen anything to make me believe otherwise.
@9mmsmg@ravener96 @goldware326 If they want to sell to you, that’s their choice.
That’s all anyone over here is saying. Odd that trump want to impose tariffs on us for saying that, and says he’ll increase them until Greenland/Denmark agree. That feels like blackmail, not negotiation or legitimate purchase.
