So, my problem with this play is inconsistency in the rules.
An inadvertent whistle from an official stops a play dead. It can take points off the board: you get a pick six, but an official accidentally blows up before the defense scores... no points.
Here, a whistle blows, but you can just pick up a football and be awarded points?
I don't see how you can reconcile those.
Y'all did this, by the way. You told us to simply get over 2017 and MLB didn't do jack for punishment. If you believe in karma and think the Dodgers didn't deserve this because they are the evil empire-- you forgot about the ghost of karma past.
