to those who need to hear this: stop fetishizing and romanticizing the resistance of Kurdish women.
it is not 'hot' or 'based' for women to carry around weaponry because the violent militant group besieging their community has an ongoing history of brutalizing and killing them.
Moderaterna har sagt att de ska bidra med 295 miljoner till styret i Damaskus, trots regimen fortsatt är terrorklassade som en del av al-Qaida och att skicka ens en krona till dem som privatperson leder till åtal för terrorfinansiering.
A fighter linked to the Syrian government was seen raising an ISIS flag at the entrance to #Raqqa, once the de facto capital of ISIS. This has fueled concerns about a potential ISIS resurgence and blurred lines between extremist factions in Syria.
Kobanî survived ISIS in 2014 when the world supported their 20% stand. Today, the same threat returns, but the world has chosen the side of evil. We must not abandon the heroes who once fought for all of us.#RojavaDefend
Never forget: legacy media tried whitewashing the new Syrian gov't forces' rampant use of ISIS symbols.
Kurds suffer the worst massacre since Kobane 2014, & the few Western journalists covering it ensure ISIS colors stay outside the frame.
You celebrated these Kurdish women when they stood between you & ISIS. You shared their images, praised their bravery, & claimed their struggle as a moral victory. Today, as they are humiliated, imprisoned, & brutalized by the Syrian jihadists you are normalizing & empowering, you look away.
History will remember who spoke — and who decided Kurdish lives only mattered when they were useful.

First of all: you didn’t give oil to Kurds. Kurds extracted oil from lands they already lived on, or lived near. The fact that you got some of the oil doesn’t mean you gave Kurds oil.
Secondly, the money that your administration, and the Biden administration, sent, was used to make sure security in ISIS camps was on par.
Lastly, the weapons you gave to the Kurds were used against ISIS for 5 years. The Kurds lost 15k fighters of its fighting force to make sure ISIS was eradicated (that’s almost between 0.6% to 0.8% of their entire population, and that’s only Kurds, excluding Syriacs, Assyrians and Armenians).
So, al-Jawlani is now calling his campaign al-Anfal, after the genocide by Saddam Hussein, in which 100,000 Kurds were massacred.
This is a war of extermination against the Syrian Kurds. Congratulations to all the whitewashing "experts" like Lister, Kittleson and Hassan Hassan.
I write to you from #Rojava. Today, everyone living on this land is under threat.
Our fighters have been beheaded, and ISIS members are being released by Syrian forces.
The world must see this: the SDF has fought, and will fight.
We will protect our cities and defend ourselves.
The international coalition relied on Kurdish forces in Rojava to fight and defeat ISIS. Now, at a critical moment, those who stood on the front lines against evil are being abandoned. What the international community is doing in Syria—and across the broader region—is chaos, and innocent people will pay the price.
Many won’t see the footages due to content moderation, but there are videos out there showing Syrian army soldiers cutting the throat of Kurdish female fighters and proudly filming it.
