HYPOTHETICALLY… IF I BOUGHT MY HOUSE FOR $125,000 IN 2002 AND THE COUNTY NOW SAYS IT’S WORTH $487,000, WHERE DID I ACTUALLY MAKE $362,000?
Did I sell it? No.
Did I receive $362,000? No.
Did somebody hand me a check for the new assessed value? Obviously not.
But my property taxes still go up because, on paper, my house is suddenly worth hundreds of thousands more.
That’s the part that doesn’t make sense to me.
This isn’t income.
It isn’t cash sitting in my bank account.
It’s a number someone assigned to my property, and now I’m being billed based on that number.
If my stock portfolio doubles but I don’t sell, I haven’t turned that gain into cash.
If my salary stays the same, I don’t suddenly owe more income tax because someone thinks I’m worth more.
So why does owning a home work differently?
WHY AM I PAYING TAX ON A GAIN I NEVER REALIZED?
A house isn’t just an investment.
It’s where people live.
You can pay off the mortgage, own the property outright, and still face a bigger bill every year because the value of the house went up on paper.
At some point, you have to ask what “owning” something actually means if the cost of keeping it can keep rising because of money you never received.
THIS ISN’T ABOUT WHETHER THE HOUSE IS “WORTH” MORE.
IT’S ABOUT BEING CHARGED FOR VALUE YOU NEVER TURNED INTO CASH.
And people are starting to notice.
🚨 THIS MAN JUST SAID WHAT MILLIONS ARE THINKING 🚨
Fox News hit the street and asked voters about Trump’s $5,000 “Trump Dividend.”
This American didn’t hesitate:
“We’ve given a HELL of a lot of money to people who DON’T DESERVE IT.
The fraud in Minnesota… we complain about Trump’s $5,000 dividend to HARDWORKING AMERICANS.
Yet we don’t say BOO about all the fraud going on in the United States.
So YES — it’s about TIME the hardworking citizens of America get the money THEY deserve.”
They scream about “the debt” when the check is for YOU.
They stay silent when billions vanish to fraud, waste, and people who never paid a dime.
49 DAYS until the midterms.
Trump says: Republicans keep the House AND Senate → every adult American citizen gets $5,000.
Must be spent in AMERICA.
This is the line.
Hardworking Americans first — or more of the same?

An unhinged woman thought it was a good idea to launch her drink at a police officer’s head during an anti-ICE riot in North Carolina.
THIS is how the officer reacted! Was he justified?
A. YES, absolutely justified
B. NO, he over reacted
C. Possibly, convince me in comments
Maybe that's true, but my grandmother was home all day every day. She did'nt go to work for 30-40 YEARS outside the home. I have worked for over 50 years and if I want to have time to do some of things I never had the opportunity to do, then so be it. I am selfish!
Unpopular opinion:
I would rather make memories with grandchildren than on superficial things like travel and things. The grandmother will miss out on a lot. That’s on her. The daughter asked for help and explained why it would help but her mother would rather see her struggle than to help.
No, she is not being selfish. I do not understand why kids think that we "owe" them something. We have worked hard and now it's time to do what we want. I don't mind helping as needed, but do not want to be made to feel bad for not wanting to spend every day watching children.
My coworker recently retired after 40 years of working, and her daughter just had her first baby. The daughter expects her to watch the baby Monday through Friday, 8-to-5, for free, so she can go back to work and avoid massive daycare costs.
My coworker said no. She offered to watch her grandchild two days a week, but said she wants to spend her retirement traveling, resting, and enjoying her life, not raising a second generation full-time.
Her daughter is furious, claiming that "family helps family" and that refusing to provide full-time childcare is financially crippling them and incredibly selfish.
My coworker feels that being a grandparent shouldn't mean becoming an unpaid, full-time nanny by default.
Is the grandmother being selfish, or is the daughter being entitled? 🤔
I officially closed on my house today and the previous owners left their vehicles in my driveway. Multiple vehicles taking up the ENTIRE driveway too and I can’t even park. They told their agent they don’t have an estimated day/time to when the cars will be picked up. They never even asked permission for this. Y’all, this is crazy. I can’t make this up. What do I do? What would you do?
If you didn’t fall for Fauci’s COVID psyop and aren’t vaxxed I want to follow you.
I need more pure blood patriots in my feed because we gotta stick together.
