BREAKING: Dr. Anthony Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times and refused to answer lawmakers' questions during Wednesday's Senate hearing.

Senator Rand Paul, who has repeatedly accused Fauci of misleading the public about COVID-19's origins and the government's pandemic response, pointed to Fauci's newly released COVID-era diaries, arguing they conflict with his public statements during the pandemic.

Republicans have also argued former President Joe Biden's blanket pardon would not protect Fauci if he lied to Congress.

After hours of stonewalling, Paul announced the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee will vote next week on a resolution to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress, arguing the pardon means he cannot invoke the Fifth Amendment for matters covered by it.

Ye reportedly ends the sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by a former employee with a confidential settlement.

On Wednesday (July 29), Billboard broke the news that the rapper has resolved his civil case with Lauren Pisciotta. Terms of the agreement have not been revealed.

"The matter has been resolved," Pisciotta's attorney Arik Fudali tells XXL.

XXL has reached out to Ye's team for comment.

Pisciotta originally sued Ye in 2024 for breach of contract, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and a hostile work environment, claiming that he sent her inappropriate texts and videos while she was employed by him and never paid her an agreed-upon $3 million severance when she was fired in 2023. She amended the lawsuit multiple times to include claims of sexual assault, battery, stalking, sexual battery, sex trafficking, false imprisonment and more.
