@olimar99@Zonal_Marking No, a 6 is a defensive midfielder. Traditionally it's right back 2; left back 3; centre backs 4 and 5. I think South America might do the "centre backs wear 6" thing though
@sarahdrinkwater@genmon It loses points for being the American spelling, but "skepticism" is the longest word that alternates letters typed by the left hand with ones typed by the right hand, which is quite satisfying
@asanwal There are definitely cultural quirks that make them a particularly Japanese phenomenon (40% of the more-than-100-year-old businesses worldwide are in Japan). But I agree, I think there are lessons from the Shinisen for outside Japan: https://t.co/MPaFNxpzpZ
@zoescaman I totally agree! But also: you can hit a wall where it's hard to keep growing impact as an IC, at which point growth comes from influencing other people's impact. Management is one way of doing that – it's just the default and the most legible. Finding other ways is key
This is insane: Let @faizashaheen run for MP! Strong connection to her community (not parachuted in), super smart, and dedication to issues that matter: inequality. @LSEInequalities https://t.co/5vXfoOKU6j
@patio11 Every time I think of this idea, I think of a quote from you from years ago: in any industry, "the industry standard is *just* above 'legally actionable'"
@IanNabney@AlexTaylorNews I thought the same thing; the article is pretty misleading. It seems like there have been 3 applicants using "prestigious prizes" as the basis for their application, but there have been loads (and an increasing number) of general Global Talent applications:
@SeanMagee @BobGeor27574923 Governments are not households! They don't spend money like households! This is fallacious thinking! https://t.co/gkOq8XN4en
