Satya Nadella’s post made me feel two things at once.
On one hand, it validated something important to me: the idea that real power and value come from owning your own learning loop instead of just feeding your knowledge into someone else’s system. The part about never being able to offload your learning stuck with me because it pointed at something bigger than corporate efficiency — it pointed at personal sovereignty over your own mind and IP.
On the other hand, it also made me feel the gap. I saw a CEO talking about companies needing to protect and compound their knowledge, and my mind immediately flipped it to individuals: Why shouldn’t regular people get to do the same? Why does the value still flow upward to big platforms and famous names instead of staying with the person who actually generated the knowledge?
It left me with a mix of hope and frustration — hope that the learning loop concept could be reclaimed for individuals, and frustration that most current systems still push the other way.
That tension is what made me start dreaming about tokenizing my own expertise and wanting a real role reversal.
