#ARobotCouldNever capture what human photographers can, every day. Automated boxes are not a substitute for real people with real talent and real personality.
@lemongoofball@InsideTheMagic right?
Disney: *restores 6 and 7 figure salaries to executives, canning 28,000 cast*
Blogs: “I NO LIKE CLASSIC ROCK ZOOMIES”
priorities…
@gburnash As far as I understand, even more photopass that already returned to work, were just re-furloughed today.
The ones that “don’t take effect until Dec 4th” are already furloughed and won’t be returning. They’re just done, along with 90-95% of all photographers.
Photopass is dead.
@AutL78@DisneyPhotoPass That’s exactly the point. They’ve gone silent because “ish hit the fan”. Their team has been completely eliminated, save maybe half a dozen in each park.
This is literally the point of the entire thread that PhotoPass can no longer advertise because it is no longer a service.
The @DisneyPhotoPass account is predictably silent right now.
If you don’t have anything nice and fluffy and magical to say about over 2,000 photographer layoffs effectively ending the service people love and pay for don’t say anything at all I guess?
#ThankYouPhotoPass
@cdrjones @REWorldofMagic @jennifersthotty “Large number,” is kind of an understatement. Over 2,000 is what we’ve heard to be a pretty accurate number.
Each park is now operating on the barest number. PhotoPass has been effectively shuttered, for lack of a less-comical word.
@AutL78@DisneyPhotoPass They actually used to tweet all the time before the COVID park closures, but ya, plz argue a irrelevant point when you don’t have the facts
@AutL78@DisneyPhotoPass The park was closed back then. It’s open now. That’s the point we’re making.
What will they tweet about and offer now that their staff has been reduced to single digits at each park?
@madeblackmount@WDWNT This is a bad take.
You don’t know what a person or a family is going through — their needs and timing. World Disney World is closing their parks [possibly for longer than two weeks] tomorrow, not three days ago. This might be her only chance.
Worry about yourself.
@dinajoanna@disturp @WDWGuestService @WDWNT WDW is falling apart and I wish Josh D’Amaro had a Twitter to tweet at him all the ways his people are failing because it looks like he cares even when all the cast members under him don’t give a F.
@WDWGuestService @Karyn5cr Laughable that @WDWGuestService can reply to this Karen about Star Wars ticket handouts but not the thousands of people complaining about their replacement of human photographers with BOXES at the characters we all love to meet.
@deethinks Yeah they’re terrible and @WDWGuestService doesn’t care. Sorry that you had such a bad experience with a bad idea and bad tech at a character you love
This isn’t the Disney way @RobertIger@WaltDisneyWorld@DisneyParks
There’s no competition between these two pics. One is great taken by a human and the other is trash taken by a box that should be reused as a garbage can.
