I feel like the majority of discourse on lyricism over the years usually boils down to whether you value rhyme schemes or punch lines as your premier qualification. And to me, the former has always been infinitely more impressive.
Drake has made some good music. He has made some timeless classics. Drake is talented and successful. Drake isn’t a better rapper than Kendrick Lamar.
