Bittersweet giving back the oxygen compressor. Sweet that I can breathe without it. Bitter cuz I’ll miss the very unique mechanical breathing white noise. #bcsm#dontignorestageIV#metslife#audiophile
@MerylACook I can sing for ten minutes of the hour. I can do whatever I want with my voice for those sweet ten minutes. Nobody would want to hear it, but it's a joyful sound to make! I can't much carry a tune, though, and surgery didn't fix that.
@suerobinsyvr I had similar feelings about my 10 yr passport. I believe in the power of small acts of hope to make the now better. It may have no effect on the future, but anything that sweetens today has value.
I thought my ears were playing tricks on me so I am very relieved to realize that there is, in fact, somebody strumming a guitar a few doors down in the hospital. It’s very soothing and goes well with sleepy pre-meds.

Today my friend died. She was 24. In January ‘18 she was diagnosed with stage 3 BC, had mastectomy & chemo. July ‘18: mets to skin & lung. She had 5 different chemos and nothing worked. 9 months later she’s dead leaving her 2 kids & husband. THIS IS CALLED A CHRONIC ILLNESS?

Day 1 of my phase 1 immunotherapy/personalized cancer vaccine clinical trial. I’m so happy to be back on treatment. The time in between is rough on my head. I haven’t been feeling great… https://t.co/iJnDGGhzvd
