I had the privilege of taking a look at it several months ago and it’s incredible.
A much needed word from a very dear brother.
As a pastor one of the saddest things is to see a person pull away from a local church and not realize that they are doing serious harm to numerous brothers and sisters in Christ.
It’s as if they’re never read 1 Cor 12.
Friends changing churches is never only a “me” decision it is a “we” decision.
To entrust the work of the ministry to others requires a deep trust of the Spirit of God in others.
If the Spirit can work thru you (thru me?!), then surely He can work in and thru others.
If you're living in a supposedly secular city, look around you & hear Jesus's words about the harvest being plentiful. The time for bold evangelism is now. Most people will not want to hear. But a surprising number will & it's our job to tell them about Jesus & invite them in.
Let’s not confuse healthy relational boundaries for “ghosting” one another.
Healthy boundaries are communicated.
This is difficult work, but necessary for relationships to flourish.
Comparison doesn’t have to steal our joy.
Comparing ourselves to others while celebrating our differences can actually increase our joy.
It can help us love the way God made others in ways that are different than us.
And, in turn, we learn to love the way God made us.
“If God were to speak to us in a divine language, not a creature would understand him. But what spells out his grace is the fact that from the moment of creation God stoops down to his creatures, speaking and appearing to them in human fashion.
In a sense, we are all entering a community project today that will shape our collective future.
My vote isn’t merely for me, but for my household, my neighbors, my fellow citizens yet born, and future citizens yet to come to our shores.
