@DrDangles87 @hockeysw If Verhoeff played in the W, his numbers would likely have been better than Reid or Carels. Playing in the NCAA at 17 as a D man is no small feat . I like all 3 just hope it’s one of them. Bjork too but we would then need to trade Rossi as can’t have two tiny centres

The @Canucks should have art work ready for their top 3 picks on their list. The minute they draft, billboards across the city should be put up. They need to sell the future, create hope.

@CRgypsy31 The @Canucks are in a multi year rebuild. Anaheim was 7 plus years. Demko, if healthy, is a top 5 goalie in the league. If healthy is the challenge. You have to rehab him and HOPE to sell high. 3 x major surgeries will make that tough, but what other options are there?

@lumme_s @CRgypsy31 Canucks have a lot of space. They could overpay for a veteran on a one year deal, unload him at the deadline. The point is to not do anything and just ‘save money’ would mean that the new group doesn’t have full resources available to them. We’ll see…..

The @mnwild are showing the NHL and @Canucks how good Hughes is. Had Vancouver rebuilt properly, they could be here. Hughes is a game changer, Canucks blew it. Let’s hope they get it right this time.

@CRgypsy31 Kind of same thing, who you project to be the best. I like Malholtra, I just think Reid is going to be a # 1 d man. Malholtra I’ve seen comparable to a 3rd line centre, maybe a 2nd. Trade down if you want him as someone will be very keen to move up to take Reid over Malholtra IMO

Yes exactly. When Carolina took on one year of Patrick Marleau from Toronto, they got a 1st to do so. They drafted Seth Jarvis with that pick: I am encouraging they aim to accumulate as many picks and prospects as possible while also ensuring at least 2 years of aiming for top 2 picks is the goal.
