Liverpool’s much-needed evolution: Klopp’s 3-2-2-3.
Having played four games in a new system, the Reds look revitalized. But what exactly has changed and how has it made Liverpool better? And what can still be improved?
Tactical Analysis Thread!
@dannymccomedy 100% yeah, the long term strategic buying to a defined style of play is the massive difference. Some of the decisions and fees are baffling.
@dannymccomedy Absolutely worlds apart on recruitment yes, but don’t forget what happens to those players when they arrive…LFC players tend to improve dramatically under Klopp, United players tend to get worse. Genuine question as you watch them every week, has anyone improved since signing?
@theconcoursepod Also, not sure about other clubs current positives, but all the LFC players currently out through COVID are double jabbed at a minimum as confirmed by Klopp
@theconcoursepod How would you normally manage 2 games in 3 days? Rotation. But that becomes impossible when 4 midifielders are out through COVID isolation period. And to your point, that’s Liverpools situation despite a large squad, so what are clubs with smaller squads supposed to do?
@theconcoursepod Is 2 games in 3 days not nonsense? Add in C19 taking away multiple players per squad and it certainly is. Insufficient recovery lowers the quality of the product and increases the likelihood of injuries. He isn’t talking about LFC welfare, he’s talking about all players welfare
The @OptusSport host actually suggested that Liverpool could play Naby Keita at centre half to solve the injury crisis. Australian football punditry is incredible 😆
