The company behind FromSoftware is now dealing with serious pressure from investors.
Kadokawa CEO Takeshi Natsuno is being challenged by Oasis Management, which has built a major stake in the company and believes Kadokawa should be doing much more with its biggest gaming brands.
The investor group says franchises like Elden Ring have massive global value, but Kadokawa is not fully taking advantage of that potential.
Oasis also believes Kadokawa’s current approach to overseas publishing is holding the company back, especially with Bandai Namco handling major international releases.
With ISS and Glass Lewis also backing the push against management, pressure is growing for Kadokawa to change how it handles its gaming business.
