@FreddyLA7 Glad you are enjoying your visit. I moved here a few years back, and this was my response as well! I love the trees (except during allergy season).
If you get a chance, head north to the mountains and Helen, GA. You will love it and be mildly mortified!
It’s not even a new idea.
Go read the Paris Climate Accord. It explicitly detailed this.
https://t.co/NzN1LJekuE
It has nothing to do with climate, as is evidenced by the admissions of multiple parties. Paris projected reduction was minute.
But Paris gave these non-governmental bodies the right to transfer funds to smaller countries. It was global socialism, and of course the elite (and non productive) class would be in a position to personally benefit from it.
@WarDamnResearch@insidehighered You fail to consider that there are many academics who feel stifled by the leftist ideology in many colleges. A university that shifts away from leftist dogma would also attracts professors and students.
The reflecting pool is nearly compete after less than 2 months and cost $13 million.
High speed rail in California started in 2015, has spent $15B with nothing competed, and is now estimated to require $126B to compete just phase 1.
NEW: a report from Vanderbilt and WashU just dropped, taking on the "state of scholarship in the humanities and social sciences," a big topic among critics of higher ed.
Read along w/ me 🧵
Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration.
More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸
It's a great day to remind Rep Levin that major news outlets have been choosing partisan games and political interference over telling the public the truth, and that he stayed silent when it favored his party.
It’s a great day to remind Bari Weiss, the CBS News chief now destroying 60 Minutes, that freedom of the press is not a suggestion.
It is a constitutional right.
Scott Pelley says CBS forced him out for refusing to compromise his integrity, for refusing to bend the broadcast to appease the White House.
We must not stay quiet while the people running a major news outlet are accused of choosing partisan games and political interference over telling the public the truth.

Declining ratings for 15 years. It may have been successful, but its trajectory was not.
But more importantly, Pelley was the senior correspondent. Long tenure. He knew the regime was changing, and he could have played a constructive role in steering the ship to a better place.
Weiss is a liberal. Hardly an ideologue.
Instead, he chose extremely unprofessional and insubordinate behavior.
They had to fire him.
The extreme left talking points are out.
The answer is always “more taxes.”
Notice that none of this crowd has ever suggested cutting spending or corruption.
Vultures.
I think this chart is a damning indictment of everyone involved, including Pelley. Some of this is demographics, but much of it is polarization and loss of audience.
A hard reboot is warranted.
When your brother was head of CBS News he fired Scott Pelley as nightly news anchor and cleared out his office while he was away on assignment for 60 Minutes.
"It's not the correct way to treat the face of CBS News." https://t.co/ESDmp6Q9MA
@BraddrofliT To pay for the local services that you are actively using in conjunction with ownership.
There are no services for states and the federal government related to equity that aren’t already addressed through payroll, earnings and property taxes by the companies themselves.
I suspect one of the reasons Bernie is so anti AI is it provides immediate accountability.
For example, it tells someone that Sanders is near the bottom among long-serving senators for sponsored bills-to-law ratio.
He is a grifter.
AI is built on humanity’s collective knowledge.
The wealth it generates must benefit humanity — not just Elon Musk, Sam Altman and other AI oligarchs.
That’s why I’ll be introducing the American AI Sovereign Wealth Fund Act — to give the public a direct ownership stake.
Non.
Thiel is a libertarian and an entrepreneur.
There will be no better opportunity for a libertarian to realize success in the growth of a country than with what Milei is doing in Argentina.
Milei fixed the problems from decades of leftist corruption. Argentina is absolutely a market to invest in for growth.
