@stef_wilson I am a pretty stoic guy. And I was unfortunate enough to be crewing for a driver that died on the track. Loading the car afterwards will haunt me forever. But, damn, this hit me hard. Absolutely stand up. This is truly the best people right here.
@ripjetson9 Some analysis of seat angle. The angle of the seat definitely seems to have an impact on forces exerted on the spine (T6/T7 area). Another aspect that was noted was the angle of the headrest section with respect to the seatback. A large factor in the forces.
This is only really in play in a vertical impact (ie flat onto the bottom of the chassis). Rolling side to side there is not measurable difference in force.
