Decided to do a banter thread based on #SaintsFC, I know there are other clubs who have had much tougher/comical times recently but a few non-Saints supporting friends have asked what on earth has happened to Southampton this season, and this may explain it. #SaintsFC
If #SaintsFC players’ number one concern in this whole thing is their bank balance, then we may have had a lucky escape that the majority will likely leave in the summer.
🚨 Several Southampton players are considering their legal options after it was revealed that contracts include a £150,000 promotion bonus for those who have appeared in 50% of matches #saintsfc@MailSport
Assuming Mr Lowe is referring to visiting Wigan during his time as #SaintsFC chairman, Southampton have only played them 4 times in their history.
1986, 2012, 2013 and 2018.
Rupert Lowe wasn’t chairman for any of these fixtures.
The one possibility that has been suggested for #spygate which I found completely ridiculous is that Boro would be awarded the 1st leg 3-0.
However, #SaintsFC would rightfully argue they’d have played the 2nd leg differently if that was the case.
Finn Azaz will rightly get plaudits for his wonder goal that made #SaintsFC fans dream momentarily, but Caspar Jander was absolutely outstanding and did not deserve to be on the losing side today.

Despite losing their keeper early on (and not having one on the bench) the home side scored in each half through McMenemy + Edwards with Zazi pulling a goal back.

An early goal in each half was enough for the Cadbury, who were cheered on by some @YorkCityFC fans attending after their earlier win against Tamworth.

@tamworthfc@EastleighFC@swfc@SouthamptonFC Game 4 : Tamworth 0-1 York City
11.04.2026 - National League
York dominated the 1st half and took the lead thanks to a poacher’s effort from Ollie Pearce. However, the home side missed great chances in 2nd half to earn a point through Kurtaran and Acquaye.
MOTM : Harrison Male
