@SouthamptonFC Your facts are incorrect. Remember 1990 Swindon Town promoted at Wembley to Division 1 (now Premier League) to then be demoted two divisions! Reinstated in Division 2 on appeal! and our crime minor financial irregularities… we had already played and won the play-off final!

The Southampton statement is incorrect regarding previous sanctions against football clubs. In 1990 following promotion to the Premier League Swindon town were demoted 2 divisions for financial irregularities. Only being reinstated back into Division 1 on appeal
