Great resource!
If you've pretty much given up on prayer because it "doesn't work," maybe the message in the pre-flight routine can help you get back to prayer this Lent.
"Even if the bag does not inflate,
oxygen is still flowing."
We will keep fighting with prayer and action so that every baby, mother, and family will be protected from this atrocity.
Jesus, have mercy on us for what we've allowed for so long!

In the gospel today, we heard the Aramaic word, Ephphetha, which we are told means, “be opened.”
The Ephphetha rite in baptism: “May God touch your ears to receive His word.”
“May God touch your mouth to proclaim his faith.”
Are we deaf and mute when it comes to our faith?
@mattselznick@LifeNewsHQ well, yes, I did make an editorial assumption as to the sex of the child (guilty as charged)... and everyone who has ever taken an algebra test has prayed ;-)
If we’re vocal about protecting life in the womb, then we have to be equally as vocal to defend life until natural death. Donald Dillbeck committed heinous crimes and took lives, but we as a society have no right to take a life no matter the crime.

@mattselznick@LifeNewsHQ Honestly, my "peace" is irrelevant. It would be much easier for me to just ignore the whole thing and "mind my own business." But, I pray for the baby that never got a chance to pray for herself. And, as a sinner myself, I am sorrowful for offending God and ask for mercy. Peace!
@mattselznick@LifeNewsHQ "Blocking" never leads to dialogue. I've enjoyed your creativity since "Brave Men Run" and "REGGIE VS. KAIJU STORM CHIMERA WOLF" - I'm happy to still be engaging nearly 2 decades later!
February 8 is the feast of St. Josephine Bakhita, which also coincides with the International Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking. Let us pray for the intercession of St. Josephine, & work to make sure that every human being is treated with dignity & kindness.
@mattselznick@LifeNewsHQ Thanks for providing the link to the original story. After reading her own words... I will pray for her and for the soul of her murdered child.
