💹 Can you predict the next winning trade? Some think markets are random… I disagree! 📊
For over a 1 year , I’ve studied @JosephJames07 FREE material and here’s what I learned 5-step recipe for trading success 🧵:
1️⃣ Know the ‘Day Type’ 🌅
Markets change daily. Identify if it’s trending or ranging to adjust your strategy.
There’s a lot of quant vs retail takes in my feed right now so I’ll weigh in as someone who runs a desk with both.
What the “retail trading has -EV so don’t bother” argument misses is that if you applied it consistently you’d shut down most ambitious pursuits.
Startups. Creative careers. Pro sports. Academia. Restaurants. Most people don’t make it in any of these. But that’s never been a reason to stop people from trying.
The real category error is comparing avg. retail outcomes to professionals who already survived selection.
That’s like telling someone not to bother running because they’ll never be an Olympic sprinter.
Trading is hard and the odds are long. That shouldn’t surprise anyone. But that’s true of most things worth doing.
Your body predicts the market before your brain catches up.
The Hour Between Dog and Wolf taught me why—and how to turn it into an edge.
These 10 lessons will transform the way you trade:
@jtrader Saw an ad on YT of a guy making 10k on his laptop trading penny stocks. I was working a job for $7 an hour. From that moment I new there was something more than the regular life.
@jtrader I would say emotions serve as great indicators in trading and in life. Feeling anxious, worried, impatient ? You’re not aligned with the market/ life. Feeling relaxed, optimism, content ? You and the market/ life are one. Is that simple.
@JRose_Trades Wow same experience here it feels good that after all those months of no payouts now we can finish the year strong and with that positive momentum for next year. Well done 👍
I think the reason all this “prop firms” are changing rules like that is because we the traders are becoming good at their game. Let’s be real, they make more money if we lose (buy new accounts x20 etc) why would they cut their primary source of income? Because traders are winning = they pay x20. I don’t believe in 90/10 traders loss anymore.. is turning more like 50/50 and that’s not good for business. Just some morning though. GM
