#Ptbo filmmaker's latest work premieres in early May at Toronto's prestigious @HotDocs festival. @robviscardis wrote, produced, and edited 'My Dad's Tapes', which chronicles a son's search for answers years after his father's suicide. https://t.co/pyC6h1DdsE

What is the proper way to caption someone saying "I don't know" but without the words and just a kind of vocalization with their mouth closed of three notes that clearly means I don't know?
How's this:
- MmMMmm (I don't know).
Writing loglines – it's really difficult but I really enjoy the process. There's really nothing quite like it to help you figure out what is really at the core of a film.
When there's not enough time in the day, but you still want to watch a 3hr movie, it's actually quite fun to pick out the best cliffhanger to pause on and continue the next day
On today at @reframefilmfest, Kirby's House observe a Pembroke man who maintains his independence while living with an intellectual disability https://t.co/iuJnjopIHJ
Premiering at @reframefilmfest this week, KIRBY'S HOUSE tells the story of a man with an intellectual disability who establishes a life on his own in Pembroke. Director Rob Viscardis joins us to discuss how the documentary came together #ReFrame2024 https://t.co/iuJnjopIHJ
After school pickup the other day, got the questions "how do people make babies?" And "who was the first person born?" From 5yo. I was pretty impressed by his follow up question.
Sebastian Johnston-Lindsay reviews the short documentary Kirby's House, directed by @robviscardis, which tells the story of the power and potential of community in small-town Ontario as part of the 2024 @reframefilmfest

In Fault Lines on the Front Line, workers on the front lines of sectors hit hardest by the pandemic share firsthand stories.
Beyond COVID, Fault Lines will have us questioning what our labour is worth. And what still needs to be fought for. Watch this film at #CLiFF15! #canlab
@stevecutsdocs Yes but not all documentary is argumentative by nature. So while I would agree to an extent with what you're saying for docs that try to broadly cover an issue with wide ranging opinions, interviews etc, other approaches with deep POV are perfectly legitimate and entertaining.
@stevecutsdocs Nice, interesting. But to say if there's no battle over the truth or opposing opinions it's not a real story is a bit much. Would deny many of the greatest docs with a specific pov, or that don't resort to both sidesism. Can still be nuance and conflict within that limitation
