Have you heard the quote from Dietrich Bonhoeffer, “When Christ calls a man, he bids him come and die"?
That’s NOT the first call of Christ. That’s his second call.
His first call is to “Come and live.”
“Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.” John 6:47
The first call is for justification.
The second is for sanctification.
To mix those up leads to a confused gospel.
Texas Tech, which lost its star and All-American JT Toppin to a season-ending knee injury 11 days ago, just pulled off as impressive of a win as there has been all season.
Grant McCasland, man. This guy is so damn good.
Red Raiders just controlled the entire game at Hilton Coliseum and beat the Cyclones.
Jaylen Petty and Donovan Atwell made some HUGE shots after Iowa State cut the lead to 6.
Texas Tech can beat anyone, anywhere.
The Red Raiders now hold wins over:
#1 Arizona (Away)
#3 Houston (Home)
#4 Duke (MSG)
A team NOBODY wants to play.

3 HUGE reasons every church must prioritize reaching teenagers 👊🔥
People ask me all the time, “Why teenagers?”
Simple answer: because they’re the most strategic mission field on the planet.
Here’s why 👇
1️⃣ Teens come to Christ quicker than adults.
Roughly 80% of believers trust Jesus before age 18.
As my grandpa used to say: “Get the gettin’ while the gettin’s good!”
2️⃣ Teens spread the Gospel farther & faster.
The average teenager has 400+ connections—online and IRL.
That’s instant influence, built-in relationships, and Gospel impact at scale.
3️⃣ Teens spark spiritual awakenings.
Every major move of God—from the Great Awakening to the Jesus Movement—had young people leading the charge.
Revival has always had a youth section.
Here’s what I believe with all my heart:
When churches reach, disciple, and mobilize teenagers, it transforms the entire church.
On-fire students don’t just attend church—they set the spiritual temperature. 🔥
Revival that starts in the youth room eventually fills the sanctuary.
And don’t miss this: there are over ONE BILLION teenagers worldwide. Gen Z is the largest generation in history.
Youth leaders—this moment matters.
Check out https://t.co/jo1iw1oUwy and get equipped to launch a Gospel-advancing, disciple-multiplying movement through your students.
The future of the church?
It’s sitting in the youth room. 💥
Mobilize them NOW!

A CASE FOR YOUTH MINISTRY
Youth ministry is under fire.
Some say it’s outdated.
Others say teens just need “big church,” or only intergenerational discipleship, or something else.
While I believe in big church and intergenerational discipleship, I’m convinced of this:
Youth ministry is needed now more than ever. Actually, the right kind of youth ministry is needed now more than ever.
Here’s why ⬇️
1️⃣ Teens are tribal.
Teens thrive in like-hearted community.
Youth ministry gives them a Gospel-centered tribe where worship, friendship, prayer, and mission strengthen their faith. Like the early disciples were mostly teenagers (Matthew 17:24-27; Exodus 30:14), our teenagers can learn, grow and go make disciples together.
2️⃣ Teens are questioning everything.
They need safe spaces to ask hard questions—and leaders who open the Bible and give clear, compassionate answers (2 Timothy 4:1–4).
3️⃣ Teens are under attack.
From temptation to pressure to isolation, spiritual warfare is real (1 Peter 5:8). Youth group offers prayer, truth, and protection in community.
4️⃣ Teens want a cause.
When ignited by the mission of Jesus, teenagers become bold evangelists. Directed and connected, they’re a force for Gospel impact.
Youth ministry isn’t a side show—it’s a launchpad.
If we elevate it, we unleash disciple-making, Gospel-advancing teens who can transform the church and the world.
Why do you think youth ministry matters today?
