This is the part the mainstream media doesn't show you.
An openly anti-Zionist Jewish community.
Anti-Zionism is NOT antisemitism.
Opposing Zionism does not make someone antisemitic or an enemy of the Jewish people.
Being against Zionism does not make you anti-Jewish.

“Dear migrants, before I say any other word to you, I want to bow before your dignity.
“You are not numbers or case files.
“You are people — with a family and a home left behind, with dreams that no one has the right to scorn.” — Pope Leo XIV
Former Labor Foreign minister rips Albanese a new one:
“Belief US would defend Australia in event of an existential attack is a ‘ludicrous delusion’.”
Aukus is among Australia’s worst foreign policy decisions and requires ‘heroic’ optimism: Gareth Evans https://t.co/vOTiMjSw62
A fantasy of freakish size, that would cost our sovereignty, is unlikely to be realised. Oh and no plan for nuke waste disposal. AUKUS is cactus. As it should be.
The vested interests and China hawks are out in force. Defending AUKUS, attacking those who stand in the way of militarism, massive corporate and individual profit at the expense of sovereignty and common sense. Watch out for the govt funded propaganda campaign!
Our PBS has for decades done a great job in securing affordable medicines for Australians, but it's no longer working as it should. We wait an average of 3.6 years for new drugs to be listed. Only 26% of new medicines available in comparable countries are currently funded in Australia. Because of delays and failure to list drugs, nearly one in two Australians has to pay out of pocket for the 43% of prescribed medicines not listed on the PBS. Now, breast cancer survivors and women with endometriosis are unable to access an important treatment because of commercial considerations for the supplier, although the same medication is still available for men with prostate cancer.
The government has been working through the recommendations of the Health Technology Assessment Review for more than two years. It's acting too slowly, while Australians struggle to access and afford the health care they deserve. We need urgent PBS reform.

My paper has just been published in Clinical Psychologist: “Arguing the need for Aboriginal specific testing of attachment theory as a foundation of culturally informed child protection and attachment best practice.”
This paper, I believe is critically important to reducing Indigenous child removals.
The gap it documents is this: Aboriginal child removals have increased 119% over a decade. Non-Indigenous removals are down 12%. And the primary scientific tool used to assess infant attachment — Ainsworth’s Strange Situation Procedure — has been validated in more than 40 countries. Never with Aboriginal Australians.
That is not a footnote. That is a foundation missing from every child protection decision made about Aboriginal families by a workforce that is 94% non-Indigenous.
Based on over two decades of original research and clinical work, this paper presents new models for understanding culturally informed attachment — including collective caregiving, kinship obligation, skin and avoidance relationships, race-mediated trauma, and Black Identity Formation — and what it means for assessment and treatment.
The Westerman Jilya Institute has secured funding to do what this paper argues is urgently needed: validate the SSP with Aboriginal children for the first time, and build the first evidence-based attachment program designed from within Aboriginal culture.

@strangerous10 I suspect Dr Ryan is able 2 draw on a demanding professional experience, in which she had 2 deal with enormous challenges &, at times, entrenched prejudices. Extrapolating that in2 the political setting is a powerful resource - determined, informed & direct, with empathy as reqd.
@MikeCarlton01 In my experience, delivering an amazing service to our health, wellbeing and, indeed, prosperity. Great human beings whose lived- values are really no different than the rest of us, and who contribute to the strength of our communities.
It's welcome to see how ABC supports female staff . Emma Alberici - the Govt doesn't like you..bye.Antoinette Latouff - Jewish lawyers don't like you, you're fired. Laura Tingle- We've had complaints about your analysis of the killing of journalists in Gaza.. please explain.
Perhaps the publisher of this story needs to include the promise, 'nobody left behind'. This change may help address that promise re: access to housing.

The great lie of the pandemic was that public health action was unpopular and damaged people and economies.
Public health was invented to prevent that. And it did.
The rush to ‘re-open’ was the status quo protecting its rapidly declining influence. Normalising doing nothing.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”
Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.
@cheryl_kernot I believe the level at which politicians, especially Labor politicians, need to 'cut through' is at the level of connection with people's real needs & interests - truly knowing, & responding to, the diverse needs of electors, rather than the dictates of powerful interest groups.
@cheryl_kernot A massive challenge, with the ON surge appearing 2 be driven by emotions that accompany 'piss-off-ness' & quite divorced from reason. First challenge engaging that emotion 2 present the Australia most likely to emerge with ON: PBS?, Medicare?, Abortion?..& SO much more (or less).
