@jdluk87 “…how long ago was my last call”, return in a maddening ways. I’d expect to get a spoke “20 min” but most call related questions just spit back a recent call widget. “Who did I call last”, gets the last person that callled ME? We shouldn’t need deep AI integration for that.
@jackvoller@SnazzyLabs Thinking tha same thing. The crazy corner radius design makes the demos seem crowded. I’d love to have an 11 or even a mini but it seem like it might be right and especially the mini would have be memory limited.
@SnazzyLabs I feel like they could have combined the concepts with a Home Screen or search closer to the old. I think it’s a mistake to standardize on something more like iOS/iPad OS “just because”. It’s harder than it should be to find things and the search is just ok.
@SnazzyLabs disappointed for sure, I’d really like to be able to keep my photo lib and working data on the main storage but 2TB+ with 32g is just too high. Used to spec CTO G5 towers w/ min ram option & use 3rd party to save 35+%! Ill probably get late gen iMac and an M4
@BenNadel I mostly prefer the UC of mobile web options but they are quirky. Used one upstate w/ no Apple Pay made it painful with manual CC entry, 2x slower than paying at kiosk. Then when adding time I wound up needing to delete cookies to fix. Can’t seem to avoid tech troubleshooting!
@jeremymoskowitz Those horizontal, label free items suck. Way too many of my everyday tools seem to think making most used items tiny is helpful. Ironically grandma might be more likely to just use Ctrl+V at this point.
@CraftComputing Glad that segment description made sense. Had no idea what to call serif like part. I think I remember the line being called a french 7
@SnazzyLabs I try to remember to bring earplugs to all shows now. I had balanced “musicians“ plugs that seemed to sound better but I’ve gone back to whatever I find on Amazon simply for convenience and then i don’t have to worry about dropping them. Any recommendations?
@BenNadel Yeah same. Everyone once a while I try to do a fun prompt but always wind stumped and fixing odd things. Before I knew to expect the hallucinations, I thought I’d struck gold on a long term problem. Turns out all the magical API and DLL in the code were made up 🤦
@TomLawrenceTech@hover@Cloudflare I’d lean towards CF but I don’t know much about hover. I do think ditching TOPT is strange odd trend. I understand killing SMS but not TOPT. Maybe they were paying third party to handle TOPT or just got tired of supporting people losing codes?
@SnazzyLabs I gave it a go in the late 90s without a labeled keyboard. It definitely made me type better. Was surprised I could switch between layouts but eventually I just found other things to torture myself with. IIRC it made apps like vim, coding, text menus and shortcuts confusing.
@SnazzyLabs@iNeXTSTEPER Want to try the same display conversion. Also looking for 2019/2020 iMacs w/ decent specs. Both w/ upgradable ram. Storage is only really upgradable on < 2019. Sounds silly w/ M3 around but I want virtualization mostly still intel. Can’t beat all that in one box with 5k display!
@SnazzyLabs Honestly looking forward to this and I have some ideas. I hate that shortcuts feel purposely limited but that is able to lunch pretty quick. does a 3rd party app launch as smooth? Is there a way to launch 3party apps w/o shortcuts as middle man?
