Great story on #SyracuseU alums who have found success in Central New York from @RobWriter!

Memorial Day Remembrance:
Nile Kinnick, Iowa Hawkeyes, 1939 Heisman Trophy. June 2, 1943, his Navy fighter plane was leaking oil. He choose not to land his plane to spare the crew on the Lexington from danger. His plane crashed into the Gulf of Paria, his body never recovered.
Giveaway time! Haven't done one for awhile! Signed 8x10 photo of Tristan Jarry with a Frameworth COA! All you have to do is like, retweet and say "I'm in." One entry per person please. Winner announced Wednesday night.
Happy 86th birthday to the great Brooks Robinson! This was one of the first baseball paintings I did after graduating the School of Visual Arts in 2002 - and it stills feels like yesterday.
#OTD in 1884, Moses Fleetwood Walker became the 1st African American (with respect to interpretation of the William White claim) to play in the majors when his Toledo Blue Stockings lost to Louisville at Eclipse Park. Here's a color study of Fleet with the Syracuse Stars in 1889.
Honored to arrange and perform @TheWithersBill & Skip Scarborough classic "Lovely Day" at @ArtSciencesSU master's #convocation at @SyracuseU. (With gratitude to Will F. Corbin, for his own stunning arrangement.) Fun channeling @herbiehancock, too. :)

Here’s my painting of Michael Jack Schmidt at bat against the Pirates at Three Rivers, April 21, 1976. Based on the photography of John Iacono, this is the first time I’ve painted the man, but hopefully not the last.
@m_millsey Hey, @m_millsey. Let us know if/when you play @SyracuseU. We're just down the road from the HOF @MLB at @GoCooperstown. Tons of fans (and displaced Athenians like myself) in these parts. :)
R.J. Reynolds Auditorium at Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, where tonight we will perform R.E.M. Explored to a nearly sold-out house. Oddly R.E.M. played here too—in 1985!
