I can’t stress this enough: stop worrying about the level—D1, D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO all great options!
Find coaches you connect with, the best financial package, and a place you’ll actually play.
I’ve seen too many players commit D1, only to be in the portal a year later.
The work @DiamondAddicts is doing for softball recruiting is absolutely INCREDIBLE. 🥎🔥
Tracking 2027 commitments across multiple college levels is a MASSIVE undertaking — and soon he’ll start doing the same for the 2028s.
This is the kind of work that gives our softball community REAL information and a much better picture of the recruiting landscape.
I’m SO excited to have him joining me on X Spaces Live at the end of August — and we’re celebrating by giving away five 30 day subscriptions to the Diamond Addicts Substack! 👀🎉 (Giveaway details to follow soon…)
If you’re a 2027 or 2028 family, you need Diamond Addicts on your radar.
Seriously. Go follow this man. He is doing the WORK. 👏🥎
This is the most difficult year for recruiting in my tenure as a head college coach. With the new 5-for-5 rule, nearly all college players will have an extra year of eligibility. Do you keep/pay your 4-year guys, recruit a good 2027 class, or take portal/transfers?
The idea of “if you can play they will find you”…..is one of the biggest fallacies that exists in recruiting. Yes, if you are HIGH level they will find you. But once you get past that….the waters become increasingly muddled with 100s and 100s of extremely similar athletes; both from a talent and academic perspective. After the initial few hundred….it is very similar and many are often “not found”.
CALLING ALL 2027 CATCHERS
These are all the D1 programs with 0, 1, and 2+ catcher commits for the class
⚠️Not all are hunting for catchers. Check current rosters and 2026 commits
A good amount of schools have zero, including many Power 4s
Never lose faith, keep working hard‼️
Top 5 Recruiting Myths!
1. “If you’re good enough, coaches will find you” is one of the biggest myths in recruiting. Talent matters, but visibility, communication, and consistency are what open doors.
2. Your high school coach can help, but they’re not responsible for your recruiting. The athletes who take ownership, communicate, and follow up are the ones who get real opportunities.
3. Waiting until junior or senior year to start recruiting puts you behind. Film, relationships, and exposure should start early. Recruiting rewards preparation, not last minute panic.
4. Division I does NOT automatically mean a full scholarship. A lot of offers are partial. Families need to understand how scholarships are actually structured, not how they’re advertised.
5. “I’ll just walk on” if no offer comes is risky. Walk-on spots are limited, competitive, and often planned ahead. It’s not a backup plan, it’s a recruiting path of its own.
Here are THREE uncomfortable truths for ALL 27,28,29 HS PROSPECTS/PARENTS:
You and your kids will be lied to, disappointed, and lead on by college coaching staffs and there is NO way around this. So go in with that expectation, it will save you from a lot of heartache. ✅
Recruiting and finding opportunities to play in college is extremely hard, and it takes a ton of work and sacrifice for the whole family. If you don’t have a legitimate plan by junior year, CREATE ONE! ✅
If your son or daughter is good, it doesn’t mean they will automatically find you. It will take a major village effort to market, get evaluated and create real exposure ✅
Hope this helps 🙏🏻

BREAKING - A 2010 CNN clip of Obama’s $376 million White House renovation, fully funded by taxpayers unlike President Trump’s $250 million ballroom he’s paying for himself, is going viral as viewers call out Democrat hypocrisy and fake outrage.
@PeyRobinson2027@TonyWools @llgwools Since when do we post pictures of the girls we strike out now? Add it to your own GC if you want our girls pics - why take from ours? I guess I should take it as a compliment that my kids name and face made your highlight strike out reel! Thanks!!!
