#whyimvotingyes because the 8th was a mistake to put into our constitution in the first place, it has done nothing but cause suffering and pain amongst the women of Ireland. We need to right the wrongs of the past and move towards a more compassionate, caring society.
1. I don’t often tweet about my personal life, but on 1st November, my mum Jane was hit by a large vehicle as a pedestrian in St. Louis, USA. She suffered a severe brain injury & remains in a coma in hospital.
Here's Jane & me in happier times.
@jim_demps If we were to stand and talk about the issues with the structure of the women’s game in Ireland, I’m afraid we’d need more than a twitter thread.
Spike Island was home to 4 prisons over 4 centuries
Yet most people don't know the crafty criminals, Republicans & murderers that filled its cells
Here is a short thread on just 3 of the incredible characters held on Ireland's Alcatraz (1)
Self care has nothing to do with selfishness and everything to do with how you value yourself.
Your well-being, physical health and mental health are your most precious assets.
Value them by taking care of them.
What you see on social media is 10% of someone’s life.
You don’t see the shit bits.
The greasy hair, the garlic cheese chips and the floods of tears that are also included
I got news:
We all have smelly farts, we all have ugly days and no one is perfect
It doesn’t matter that she was a #teacher. It doesn’t matter what nationality the alleged perpetrator is. It doesn’t matter what age she was. It doesn’t matter what she was doing, what time or where it happened. She was a human being who mattered to her family who loved her most.

Strive for lasting changes that you can happily maintain.
Keep showing up and persevere.
You’re so much more than your waistline, dress-size or weight.
In life you’ll accomplish so many amazing things, what size you are won’t be one of them.
Your ideal weight is the one you are happiest at, where you can live the most fulfilling life possible.
Squeeze the enjoyment out of every moment.
Be present.
Sink into hugs, laugh loudly and unreservedly.
Wear the shorts.
Don't stand on the sidelines of life and allow your fear to limit your joy.
Appreciate where you are before you worry about what’s to come.

A calorie deficit is great but it only helps you lose weight.
Focus on your overall health and wellbeing.
Prioritise moving well, eating well, hydration and self-care.
Look after your health first,
everything else will follow.
