@Jordan_NHLDraft I get what you’re saying here but…the league is moving too far, too fast for its own good - it does nothing for the league to seriously damage its initial franchises - the message being sent is suck it up, expansion franchises matter more than you do - not good for fan retention
@TroyPurinton He can run wherever he wants to UNTIL such time as a tag attempt is made at which point his base path is established - since no valid tag attempt was made, he was never “out of his base path”
@realcoreykno@MLBUA Maybe you should blame Henderson - it was his error that allowed the inning to continue in the first place but that wouldn’t be convenient for you now would it?
@sageemarioo@Hockey_Is_All You have to make a tag attempt for the rule to come into play - he didn’t do that and NO the half-assed wave of the glove does not constitute a tag attempt
@andrewdice_k No that’s not correct - there is no definition of the base path until the moment a tag is attempted and waving your glove in the general direction of a runner DOES NOT constitute a tag attempt for the purposes of the rule
@SimardJacob Again, a still shot does NOT show the actual play - this wave of the glove occurs before Clement got to him and he already realized he had zero chance of making a tag so pulled it back and threw to first - this is NOT a tag attempt
