Saying that the gareeb, dalit, pichhada, and adivasi have the first rights over the country’s resources is as problematic as saying minorities have the first right.
Nobody has a first right. Resources belong to the State, and the State is supposed to treat everyone equally (Article 14). Even the preferences the State gives to certain groups, by bypassing Article 14, such as reservations, are welfare measures, not inherent rights. The same has been held by the Supreme Court many times.
Making the General Category students suffer for the sins they did not commit is not correcting injustice but rather perpetuating it. Injustice in the campus today will be a threat to justice in the country tomorrow.
My views on the unjust UGC Equity Regulations:
India’s most popular leader, who entered the 2024 election dreaming of 400 seats, lost nearly 10% of his vote share at his own constituency, abruptly, without any organisational collapse or visible anti-incumbency.
This didn’t happen randomly. A "conditional" support base, one that supports power only in exchange for special privileges and constant political reassurance, shifted its voting pattern almost overnight, triggered merely by the narrative that “samvidhan badal diya jayega.”
The result was telling: Modi’s victory margin crashed from 4.8 lakh in 2019 to just 1.5 lakh in 2024. He sailed through because another group, the "unconditional" supporters, who ask little, defend fully, and absorb mistakes silently, held the fort. Imagine the historical embarrassment if 75,000 more votes had shifted toward Ajay Rai.
Now, the BJP has managed to alienate even this unconditional group. Their tolerance had a long rope, but even that has been breached. It won’t end too well for the party unless they make quick amends.
Now President of India got the community note. Please check it out , thats the power of Social Media.
As a president, she has responsibilityof whole country not just Dalit , Peedit , Soshit Vanchit
#AjitPawar Ajit Pawar when asked for water by farmers, said that should he urinate to fill the dams. He was one of the most corrupt ministers of Maharashtra. Need I say more. I would also urge all Hindus be it GC, OBC n SC/ ST to unite against UGC. Let us remain united. Jai Hind
Dear general category male students,
Remember, this the fight for your life, fight for your future. We have passed out from our colleges, universities and have very limited stake other than that of our kids who are toddlers.
This UGC guideline is a whip that will not only take the flesh of your body, but the very soul of the nation: your collective shaming at a place where you should be building great things for India.
So, I did my part. I wrote and spoke for last 11 days, relentlessly keeping everything at stake. Friends mocked me, ideological adversaries laughed at and party kept mum. Now mainstream media has been forced to pick up.
It's your time now. Go to UGC, stand for what's your right of a free campus, without the fear of a law that is based on a data of 0.004% of affected students, tell them they can't take away your friendship, freedom, research and results away from you.
You need to fight this out on road as the government is busy making committees to calm you down. But double down this time. A bunch of political retards, aiming to cement their political legacy on the whimsical idea of unproven injustices on so-called dalits, shouldn't be allowed to play with your lives, and by an extention, the nation itself.
Protest to protect your future.
America wants Greenland.
China wants Tibet.
Russia wants Ukraine.
Meanwhile in India, Modi ji is still stuck on UGC rules, minus marks for doctors, and quota politics.
What a country. 🤡😂
Until now, the minimum qualifying criterion for PG medical seats for SC, ST, and OBC candidates was the 40th percentile, about 235 marks out of 800.
As per an order of the Ministry of Health, this has been reduced to the 0th percentile, meaning even a score of –40 out of 800 is now eligible, subject to seat availability.
The one profession that directly deals with life and death, where competence should be sacred and non-negotiable,has been dragged down to this level. Perhaps this is the only country in the world where such a dangerous dilution of standards is not just tolerated, but actively encouraged.
