It was a pleasure spending the evening in Rockaway Beach at the Rockaway Beach Civic Association’s social. It was great connecting with residents, meeting neighbors, and enjoying some light conversation with members of our community.

I want to take today to thank my fellow service men and women who served or are currently serving in the U.S. Coast Guard.

When I was stationed in Kuwait, I worked closely with the Coast Guard for a year at the Port of Shuaiba and Shuwaikh.

Yesterday evening, I attended the candlelight vigil for Sgt. Angel Rampersad in Ozone Park.

It was a powerful evening as family, friends, and members of the community came together to honor her life and recognize her dedication and service to our country.
