"You are Death, bound by contract to claim a soul. But a dog won't let you in." In KOTD, you play as Death, trapped in a mannequin's body inside an old house full of memories. To complete your contract, you must enter surreal memory-rooms, solve environmental puzzles, and escort puppets through fragments of a life, while a small, stubborn Pomeranian-Corgi refuses to let his master go.
