Day 9 of my Sept. 2023 Route 66 trip. The Rock Cafe in Stroud, OK., is a favorite stop for Route 66 travelers. In 2008, a fire nearly destroyed the restaurant, but the owner Dawn Welch, rebuilt and reopened it a year later. She was the inspiration for the character Sally in CARS.

After breakfast at the Rock Cafe in Stroud on Day 10 of my Sept. 2023 Route 66 trip, it was off to get pictures of murals starting with the Welcome to Davenport sign. This is usually the only picture that Route 66 travelers get, missing all the murals in downtown Davenport, OK.
